Role : Full-Stack Engineer | Hackathon : MediHacks 2024 — 3rd Place
TL;DR
Meditect lets aspiring doctors practice time-pressured clinical diagnosis in a browser-based simulator. It scores decisions on speed + accuracy and issues micro-credentials employers can trust—all without the cost of physical manikins.
Inspiration
Hands-on diagnostic training is expensive and hard to scale. Lecture quizzes don’t test real-time judgement. We built Meditect to fill that gap with free, game-grade simulations.
Key Features
- Scenario Engine: Runs branching cases that adjust vitals and symptoms in real time
- Time-and-Accuracy Scoring: Grades every action against an ideal care path, then issues a badge
- Treatment Station: Visualizes patient vitals, tests, and drug cabinet
- Drug Database: Pull-down picker with ~150 meds and contraindications
- Progress Dashboard: Tracks pass/fail history for each specialty module
Tech Stack
- SvelteKit + TypeScript for reactive UI
- TailwindCSS for utility-class styling
- Three.js + GSAP for 3D scene and animations
- Melt UI for accessible component primitives
